“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

The Psalmist in today’s Scripture wonders why God is “distant” and “hiding” during difficult situations and circumstances. Is He there? Is He asleep? Does He care? What is going on? Will there be a resolution? Read today’s Scripture in context, the first 11 verses of Psalm 10: “[1] Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? [2] The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. [3] For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth. [4] The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. [5] His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

“[6] He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. [7] His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. [8] He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. [9] He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. [10] He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. [11] He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.”

This Psalm depicts an extremely grim setting: before creation is rescued from Satan and his policy of evil, it will endure conditions far, far worse than what even we observe right now. In short, a man who embodies that satanic plan must rise to power… and then fall to perdition….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

God has formed—and will form—the nation Israel’s believing remnant to become His earthly people, who will eventually occupy Earth’s governmental offices in accordance with Colossians 1:16-20. This Little Flock includes all believers in Christ from His earthly ministry and early Acts: “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). It also involves all believers in Christ during Daniel’s 70th Week (a time after our dispensation ends). Redeemed, believing Israel reigns only when Christ reigns, and that cannot be brought to pass until His Second Coming of Revelation chapter 19.

Observe Revelation 20:4-6: “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

“For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth” (Psalm 37:9). “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:10). Until believing Israel is redeemed and regathered into the Promised Land to reign with Christ, conditions on Earth will not improve….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

Remember, when Jesus Christ presented Himself as King to Israel, He was rejected in unbelief and crucified on Calvary’s cruel cross. He would have reigned even upon resurrecting, but they still refused Him. However, He is destined to return to, and rule, Earth one day. This is the heart of the prophetic program, the earthly kingdom God had in mind with Adam (Acts 3:19-21; Luke 1:67-75; Matthew 25:34).

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 11:15). “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one” (Zechariah 14:9). “For unto us a child [Jesus Christ] is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6,7).

“And he [Jesus Christ] shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isaiah 2:4). “…JESUS…. shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end” (Luke 1:31-33).

Until the Lord Jesus Christ occupies King David’s throne in Jerusalem, conditions on Earth will not improve….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

While God was speaking prophecy (unfolding His purpose and plan for Earth’s restoration; see Acts 3:19-21, Matthew 25:34, and Luke 1:70), He was withholding mystery (keeping secret His purpose and plan for Heaven’s restoration until He revealed it to and through the Apostle Paul; see Romans 16:25,26, Ephesians 3:1-11, and Colossians 1:24-27). God is currently forming the Church the Body of Christ, using anyone and everyone who will trust exclusively Paul’s Gospel: “Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:3,4). This is His heavenly people, who will one day occupy Heaven’s governmental offices in accordance with Colossians 1:16-20.

“And [Father God] hath raised us up together, and made us sit together [in seats of authority] in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6,7) “Which [mighty power] he [Father God] wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all” (Ephesians 1:20-23).

Here is how God deals with the pollution of sin in the heavenly places referenced in Ephesians 6:12. When no one else wishes to trust Paul’s Gospel, the Dispensation of Grace will close, and Christ will return to take the Church which is His Body back to Heaven to reign (see 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). As long as the Church the Body of Christ is not ruling in Heaven, conditions in the heavenly places will not improve….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

Obviously, Satan is quite active in Heaven and Earth, working his will by carrying out his policy of evil as per his plan of evil. Angels and humans are willingly participating in this uprising against God (Job 15:15; Job 25:5; Matthew 4:8-10; Luke 4:5-8; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, if Heaven and Earth are to be reconciled to God, brought in line with His purpose and plan for creation, Satan must be thrown out of Heaven as well as removed from Earth. This will occur in the ages to come.

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:7-9). “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season…. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:1-3,10).

With the offices of government of Heaven and Earth vacated of evil beings, God can now fill them with His own people—people who will glorify His Son Jesus Christ (people filled with Christ’s own life). Until Satan is bound in the Bottomless Pit for 1,000 years—and ultimately cast into the Lake of Fire—conditions in Heaven and on Earth will not improve….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

Sinful beings currently inhabit the offices of government in heaven and earth, which ranks of authority were originally to be held by creatures who would accomplish God’s purpose and plan in creation. A usurpation or trespass has been underway ever since Lucifer/Satan polluted heaven and Adam allowed that revolt to infiltrate the earth. Just because it seems like God is “unconcerned” or appears to be “nonexistent,” does not mean He is apathetic or imaginary. What is true is this: as long as we depend on our flawed intellect to account for the current dire situation and/or try in our limited strength to comprehend or accomplish any potential solution, we are doomed forever to wallow in such extreme depths of ignorance and misery!

If we want to see what the Bible says, we have to actually read it (not presuming or assuming what we have heard others assert it teaches!). Ephesians 1:8-10: “Wherein he [Father God] hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:….” These “things” are the offices of government of Ephesians 1:21 and Colossians 1:16—“thrones, dominions, principalities, powers, mights, every name that is named.”

Once these levels or ranks are purged of sinful creatures and conduct, such offices of government will be “reconciled” to God (friendly relations restored), and creation itself will revert to its original organization and function as described in Genesis chapter 1. Colossians 1:20 indicates Christ’s shed blood is instrumental and critical to this reconciliation. Such plan is “the eternal purpose which he [Father God] purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Ephesians 3:11). If we are ignorant of it—and most are—we will never understand what is actually going on in our world….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” Leviticus 17:11 explains how “life… is in the blood.” Although sin results in spiritual death (our separation from God—Romans 6:23), blood makes atonement (the condition of being “at one”). The centuries of Old Testament animals’ blood sacrifices were but types, shadows, or previews of Jesus Christ’s sinless shed blood on Calvary (see Hebrews 10:1-22).

When JEHOVAH God, Jesus Christ, took on human flesh so as to reign over the nation Israel, He was overwhelmingly rejected for 33 years before finally being crucified in unbelief. The leaders of that apostate nation exclaimed, “We have no king but Caesar!” (John 19:15). Father God in His wisdom then took Christ’s shed blood to redeem (buy back or purchase from sin) an earthly people—the very people, Israel, who had slain Him (see Hebrews 9:1-28)!

Through Pauline revelation, we discover Father God can also redeem another people—His heavenly people, us, the Church the Body of Christ. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;…” (Romans 3:23-25). “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;…” (Ephesians 1:7). “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:…” (Colossians 1:14).

It is the redemption of these two groups or entities (the nation Israel and the Church the Body of Christ) that forms the heart of Father God reconciling Earth and Heaven to Himself in Colossians 1:16-20….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Our present universe is quite far from that original perfect system its Creator intended. Even if we knew no Bible verses whatsoever, we could easily see and conclude that something is just not quite right! With the passage of time from Genesis chapter 3 onward, scientific experiments corroborate how conditions are indeed worsening. Chaos, confusion, blindness, ignorance, darkness, disintegration, decay, decomposition, and death have become more widespread. Man has struggled for millennia to reverse this downward spiral—relying on his flawed intellect in an attempt to solve his endless problems—but he has failed so miserably. Yet, this exercise in futility does not deter him from trying and trying again using his long-time methods (the definition of “insanity!”).

Colossians chapter 1 expands upon Genesis 1:1: “[16] For by him [God’s dear Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—verse 13] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. [18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. [19] For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; [20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”

Here is what lies at the heart of Father God’s plan to restore this fallen creation to Himself. Though sin currently runs rampant throughout the heaven and the earth, it is a temporary situation. His plan of reconciliation starts with “the blood of [Christ’s] cross” (verse 20). We must go back to Calvary, the worst tragedy of all time….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

Just as Adam and Eve decided to “play the blame game” in Genesis chapter 3—“God made me this way!” and “The Devil made me do it!”—so sinners lash out against these two entities today. The blame actually falls upon Adam, as both Romans and 1 Corinthians affirm. “Wherefore, as by one man [Adam!] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12). “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:21,22); please note how this context is physical death (Adam) versus physical resurrection (Christ).

Someone is sure to cry out in objection, “But is it not ‘unfair’ for God to punish us because of Adam’s sin?!” We are much swifter in our reply: “Romans 5:12-21 teaches that, though we suffer because of Adam’s disobedience, there is a balance because God is equally ‘unfair’ in blessing us because of Christ’s obedience! He reckons what is true of Adam as naturally applicable to us, yet, when we believe on Christ’s finished crosswork as sufficient payment for our sins [Romans 5:1-11; cf. 1 Corinthians 15:3,4], He considers what is true of Christ as naturally true of us.”

If God really does seek our best interest, if He actually does care about His creation, then what are we to make of this fallen world? Will such conditions ever get better? When? What is taking so long for improvements? Though these seem like profound questions, they actually have ridiculously simple answers. Alas, people tend to “darken counsel by words without knowledge” (Job 38:2), relying on man’s “wisdom” to incessantly move their lips and mouths when they have no spiritual capacity whatsoever to comment on the things of God. They need to do far less talking and far more Bible study!!!

For creation’s problems to be solved, four parties must take their rightful places….

“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1 KJV).

In light of the recent New Orleans terrorist attack just a few hours away from my home, we are delighted to dispel the associated Bible ignorance….

When Adam and Eve united with Satan in his rebellion against the Creator, the LORD God, Genesis 3:7 states regarding our first human parents: “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” Adam and Eve knew they were wrongdoers, but they engaged in “Operation: Fig Leaf.” They resorted to works-religion, covering their own nakedness instead of seeking God’s intervention. When that failed, they hid from God!

“[8] And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. [9] And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? [10] And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. [11] And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?”

Again, they avoided accountability—by blaming someone else: “[12] And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. [13] And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.” Adam blamed his wife—or, yet, he blamed God who gave him his wife. Eve blamed Satan. “God made me this way!” and “The Devil made me do it!” are still two popular expressions amongst sinners who refuse to accept responsibility. In fact, according to 1 Timothy 2:11-15, Eve was deceived but not Adam. Eve should have asked her husband who was with her, what God had said in Genesis 2:16,17. Adam chose not to be his wife’s Bible teacher, and she acted independently of him, but he was the federal head and thus the ultimate one worthy of blame….
