Be Not Pierced By the Sword of the Spirit #1

“And take… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” (Ephesians 6:17 KJV).

God gave us “the sword of the Spirit,” His written Word, the Holy Bible, to defend ourselves against Satan’s attacks (false doctrine). Let us be mindful to not allow Satan to stab us with the very weapon God furnished to protect us.

Recently, while browsing an “inspirational” book aisle, one particular book caught my attention. The cover read, “The Spiritual Warfare Bible.” Upon closer examination, I concluded that this volume was indeed the embodiment of spiritual warfare! Its corrupt text (NKJV) was coupled with footnotes adapted from deceptive charismatic “bestsellers,” forging a two-edged sword that would literally stab the heart, mind, and soul of the unsuspecting Bible consumer as well as the sincerely misled, but true, Christian.

The devil has studied mankind for 6,000 years, so he knows our habits and our weaknesses. Satan attacked God’s Word back in Adam and Eve’s day (Genesis 3:1-5; cf. Genesis 2:16,17). If Satan successfully deceived Eve by perverting God’s Word way back then, are we so naïve as to believe that he is not still doing that today? Bible corruption is nothing new, although there has been a drastic increase in Bible perversion in the English-speaking world during the past 130 years.

Our ministry takes an unapologetic stand on the King James Bible. For over 400 years, it has been a beacon in this dark and dying world, leading millions to Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. It demonstrates itself to be majestic, perfect, reliable, and completely authoritative. This is expected of God’s Word.

What have the modern English “bibles” accomplished? They have changed the Bible terminology that Christians have used for centuries, further confusing the already befuddled Christendom. Their translation teams consisted of ecumenical members, who, although from pagan and cultic backgrounds, compromised none of their heretical doctrines while translating. Considering, I wonder what those resultant translations teach?!

Beware, saints and dear friends, “Many… corrupt the word of God” (2 Corinthians 2:17) was a fact nearly 20 centuries ago, and it is truer than ever….

Sound, But No Sound Doctrine

“And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me” (Acts 22:9 KJV).

In today’s Scripture, the Apostle Paul is giving his testimony to Israel, yet according to Bible critics, this verse “contradicts” another verse. Rather than “correcting” the Bible, as some modern translators have done, we let the Bible correct us… and it will teach us a valuable doctrine!

Today’s Scripture explains that those traveling to Damascus with Paul (at that time Saul) did not hear the voice of Jesus Christ, who appeared to Saul in Acts chapter 9. Yet, when we read Acts 9:7, the Bible seems to say the opposite: “And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.” Well, which is it? Did they hear (Acts 9:7), or did they not hear (Acts 22:9)? A lost person once tried to use this very argument against me in a desperate (and unsuccessful) attempt to discredit the Bible because it challenged his denomination!

Certainly, God’s Word has no mistakes (otherwise, He would be a liar!). If we consider John 12:28,29, resolving this apparent discrepancy actually teaches us something: “Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.” Here, Jesus, standing on earth, is speaking to His Father in heaven. Notice that His Father gave an intelligent response: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” Yet, some of the audience heard thunder, a mere noise: they did not hear anything intelligent.

So, those traveling with Saul did hear the sound of Jesus’ voice, but they did not hear the actual words (that is, understand what was spoken). Acts 9:7 and Acts 22:9 really complement one another, teaching us that people can hear God’s Word being read or spoken, but they are willingly too blinded by sin to hear His actual words with understanding (Isaiah 6:9,10; Matthew 13:13-15; Acts 28:24-27).

Is Mary the “Mother of the Church?”

“When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home” (John 19:26,27 KJV).

Does today’s Scripture teach that Mary, Jesus’ mother, is “the mother of the Church?”

Pagan goddess worship was commonplace in the Roman Empire when Christianity spread during the first centuries A.D. So, “Christian” leaders, hoping to attract heathen followers, slyly adopted pagan practices and teachings. One of these compromises was to give Mary, Jesus’ mother, unscriptural preeminence. Religion took humble Mary (Luke 1:46-55) and exalted her to a godless-like position (today, she is called “the queen of heaven,” the title belonging to a pagan goddess; Jeremiah 44:15-28).

Mary is not the mother of any church in Scripture, and certainly not the Church the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ did not exist until Acts chapter 9 (see 1 Timothy 1:15,16), about a year after today’s Scripture. (The “church” at the time of today’s Scripture was the Messianic Church, those Jews who trusted Jesus as Messiah; Matthew 16:16-19).

In today’s Scripture, notice that Jesus (now crucified) is speaking to one individual, not a group: Mary is not everyone’s “mother,” but a certain disciple’s (allegedly the Apostle John, “the apostle whom Jesus loved”). Notice “thy mother” uses the second-person singular pronoun; Jesus did not say “your mother” (the second-person plural “your” would indicate He is speaking to a group). Of course, you lose this in modern “bibles,” which replace “thy” with “your,” concealing God’s truth.

Joseph evidently died some time earlier. Jesus is Mary’s eldest son, but Jesus is dying. Mary needs a man to take care of her (in the ancient world, single women without a male authority would have no income, often being forced to become prostitutes). At this time, none of Jesus’ half-brothers or half-sisters are believers, so Jesus appoints a disciple (John?) to be Mary’s caretaker. How simple!

Friend, God Himself declares Mary is not our mother. That is pagan heresy and superstition, not Bible.

Jesus Christ: A Minister of the Circumcision #1

“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:” (Romans 15:8 KJV).

Today’s Scripture clearly explains to whom Jesus ministered during His earthly ministry, but most of Christendom absolutely refuses to believe it.

Someone rightly stated that “Christianity” is merely “bastardized Judaism.” Today, what is called “Christianity” is actually Old Testament Judaism with “New Testament” verses tacked on. The root cause of the abounding doctrinal error and chaos in Christendom is a failure to believe today’s Scripture, and to practice dispensational Bible study, “rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). All of the Bible is for us, but not all of the Bible is to us or about us.

The doctrine that God gave us through the Apostle Paul for this the Dispensation of Grace is almost totally ignored today. It was to Paul alone that God revealed our mystery program, the Church the Body of Christ and God’s purpose and plan for heaven (Ephesians 3:1-9). What has Christendom done? It has mostly ignored Paul’s epistles, preferring to steal the Bible verses—especially the Four Gospels—that God gave strictly to Israel. Israel’s doctrine does not belong in our dispensation, yet denominations continue to attempt to obey God’s will for Israel.

For the past 2,000 years, religious tradition has instructed us to obey what Jesus taught in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Entire denominations and churches are built and sustained by “naming and claiming” (actually “taking and faking”) the ceremonies, prayers, doctrines, and promises found in the Four Gospels.

In religion, “Follow Jesus” is a phrase mindlessly and faithlessly uttered. Repeating the so-called “Lord’s Prayer” is greatly emphasized, as is “following Jesus in ‘believer’s baptism’” and “claiming the Beatitudes.” No wonder people are so confused about the Bible! They are claiming verses that belong to a program God is not operating today, and when the verses do not work, the Bible is ridiculed.

Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry, ministered only to Israel (the “circumcision”): He was not speaking to us Gentiles (today’s Scripture)!

Inspiration from God’s Viewpoint

“And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4 KJV).

What is God’s definition of Bible inspiration? Today’s Scripture explains.

In theology, there are the five opposing views of Bible inspiration:

  1. Natural — The Bible is a high level of human achievement.
  2. Partial — Only portions of the Bible are inspired of God.
  3. Existential — Only parts that “speak to me” are inspired of God.
  4. Dynamic — Bible thoughts or concepts are inspired of God.
  5. Plenary verbal — All Bible words are inspired of God.

According to Jesus Christ (today’s Scripture), which of the above five views is God’s definition of inspiration? (You must have a King James Bible in order to answer this, for modern English “bibles” omit “but by every word of God” from today’s Scripture!)

In Matthew 4:4, we re-read Jesus’ statement: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Again, how much of the Bible is inspired? Some of it? Just its thoughts? Consider Deuteronomy 8:3, the verse Jesus quoted: “…that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16a, which modern English “bibles” also twist). Yet again, how much of the Bible is inspired of God? (And notice that the Bible is not “a high level of human achievement,” for it is God’s accomplishment). “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:21).

Jesus Christ stated, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33). Surely, our Lord did not lie, as demented textual critics would have us believe, about preserving every one of His inspired words perfectly forever. Today, in English, we have all of God’s perfectly preserved inspired words—the Authorized Version King James Bible.

Theological Twaddle Intensifies the Battle

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV).

How does Satan “beguile” (trick) and “corrupt” our minds? Today’s Scripture and the following verse give us details.

Some of the most confused people with whom you will ever discuss the Bible are religious leaders, especially theologians (seminarians). Having recently “suffered” nearly five-dozen pages of “theological twaddle (nonsense),” I set aside the volume in utter disgust. The author, despite his Doctorate in Theology, was perplexed about God’s Word: he was just as “skilled” in Scripture as the average denominationalist. (Seminary = Cemetery for God’s Word.)

One needs only casually glance at Christendom to reach the following conclusion: “People who claim to spend the most time studying the Bible—those in seminaries, Bible colleges, monasteries, et cetera—are usually the very people contributing the most to Bible ignorance.” Quite a paradox!

Satan is extremely sneaky (“subtil”). The devil understands that the best way to corrupt our Christian minds “from the simplicity that is in Christ” is to complicate that simplicity: to make God’s Word less clear to us, so we grow discouraged from ever opening our Bible! Modern English “bibles,” although claiming to be “easier-to-read,” have only confused God’s Word with their corrupt readings and denominational biases.

Also, to Satan’s delight, many ministers preach “another Jesus, another spirit, another gospel” (the verse following today’s Scripture), thus keeping people ignorant as to what God is doing today. They encourage you to follow Christ’s earthly ministry (which was to Israel only; Romans 15:8), to believe and preach the “gospel” of Acts 2:38 (what was for Israel only; Acts 2:36), and to seek the “Spirit baptism” of Acts 2:4 (which again was for Israel only; Joel 2:28,29).

There is a spiritual battle occurring today (Ephesians 6:11,12). Satan contends to overthrow your Christian mind and faith (2 Corinthians 10:3-5), and he will use “theological twaddle” (religious tradition, human viewpoint) to do it. Guard yourself with dispensational Bible study: follow the Apostle Paul as he follows Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).

Be Not Blinded by ‘Bright Lights!’

“Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding the Head [Christ]…” (Colossians 2:18,19a KJV).

Religious—and even nonreligious—people claim to see heavenly “visions” or angelic creatures (“Mary,” “Jesus,” “deceased relatives,” et cetera). Seeking monetary gain, some have written “Christian” books discussing how they allegedly died, visited heaven (or even hell!!!), and then returned to earth. Are these experiences of God?

“Bright lights” and “supernatural” visits do not belong in our dispensation. Look at today’s Scripture: those people are “intruding into those things which [they] have not seen….” Interestingly, modern “bibles” omit “not,” stating the opposite of the King James Bible!!!

Our sin-tainted minds and our deceptive emotions can get so hyped up about having a particular religious experience that it seems to come to pass (when it actually did not happen). We imagine we see things (“angels,” “devils,” et cetera) that are not really appearing. Beware; Satan and his “seducing spirits” use these phenomena to draw us away from the truth of God’s Word (1 Timothy 4:1).

Notice the Bible’s description of false teachers: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:13,14). Satan is the master counterfeiter: he wanted to be “like the most High” (Isaiah 14:14). Satan appears not as an evil-looking monster, but as “an [INNOCENT-LOOKING] angel of light!”

Paul wrote, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9). Why would any “angel” “appear” to you in this the Dispensation of Grace? It would only be to deceive you! Angels have no ministry to us; their ministry and appearances belong in Israel’s program.

The Bible is the Final Authority, not emotional experiences. Let no one trick (“beguile”) you with false teaching… that includes preachers, “angels,” and “dead saints!”

333’s 333rd: The Triune Godhead

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1 KJV).

We dedicate our 333rd devotional to the triune Godhead.

In Bible numerics, the number three (3) is the number of God, mainly because God is three Persons. The Bible says, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” (1 John 5:7). Sadly, modern English “bibles” omit this verse (the Johannine Comma), which is undoubtedly authentic and inspired of God (cf. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 2:18).

By noting the wording of today’s Scripture, we learn that Jesus Christ, “the Word” (cf. Revelation 19:13), is God. According to John 1:14, “the Word became flesh:” unquestionably, that refers to Jesus Christ (God’s incarnation, His indwelling a human body). In the beginning Jesus Christ “was with God” (indicating He is a Person separate from God the Father), and Jesus Christ “was God” (indicating He is one with [equal to] God the Father).

The best way to comprehend the Godhead is to consider that we are all equally human by nature, but we are also individuals. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all individuals, but they are all equally God by nature and in essence (all three are omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, righteous, just, holy, et cetera), thus making all three “one” (1 John 5:7).

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit live for each other. They fellowship with one another, and they want us to fellowship with them! God became a man in order to restore our fellowship with Him. We cannot see all three Persons of the Godhead. However, God the Son stepped out of eternity and entered time, and “in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9; cf. John 14:9). Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, so He can take God by the hand and man by the hand and link them (1 Timothy 2:5)!

The invisible triune Godhead has been made visible via the God-Man, Jesus Christ!

Are We Bibliolators? #8

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name” (Psalm 138:2 KJV).

The Christian life is already difficult, for most of the world is against you. Being a King James-only Pauline dispensationalist maketh it more difficult, for most of Christendom is against you. Be not weary, saints. We would rather please God than man!

Counterfeit Bibles is Satan’s most effective tool in dividing and confusing the Body of Christ: by quoting numerous opposing Bible versions, God’s people have lost their common voice. Oftentimes, “King James-only” believers are called “church splitters” and “heretics.” Oh, what irony! Heretics, unlike “King James-only” people, do not hold firm to God’s Word; heretics criticize God’s Word, which is exactly what anti-King James people do!!! The real church splitters are those who teach, “All 200 modern ‘bible’ versions are good.” If congregants reading 200 opposing “bibles” does not split churches, what does?! Why not everyone use only the King James; that is unity!

Our critics call us “fanatics” for using and believing the King James Bible; SO BE IT! We are privileged to join our Apostle Paul and our Saviour Jesus Christ in being “reviled, persecuted, defamed, made the filth of the world, and [made] the offscouring [scum!] of all things” (1 Corinthians 4:12,13).

As King James Bible users, let us suffer “hardness,” let us “endure [it] as good soldiers of Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3). Compromise not. Never let go of your King James Bible. It will never let you down, for God’s Word will never let you down.

If we claim to be people of faith, let us also act like people of faith. What is God’s attitude toward the Bible? He hath “magnified [his] word above all [his] name” (today’s Scripture). If we are people of faith, we will share that attitude. Criticizing the King James Bible is not an act of faith; it is an act of doubting God’s Word (unbelief). Wilt thou “magnify” the King James Bible “above all [God’s] name?” The evidence doth indicate that thou shouldst!

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name” (Psalm 138:2 KJV).

For the past 130 years, Christendom hath been under the impression that biblical scholarship is improving. The Bible saith otherwise.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12). If you hold to God’s pure and preserved Word (the King James Bible), expect the criticism. Paul continueth, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;” (verses 13,14).

Paul warned Timothy, nearly 2000 years ago, that false teaching would grow worse and worse. More and more individuals would be “seduced” (drawn away) from God’s Word: this has happened in the past 130 years regarding English “bibles.”

The Apostle also encouraged Timothy to “continue” in God’s Word. By faith, we do the same, holding firm to the King James Bible as more are deceived by modern (corrupt) “bibles.” Overall, Christendom’s “scholarship” is “deceived” regarding Bible versions and manuscripts: these “educated fools” then “deceive” the unsuspecting “peons in the pew.” Sad, sad, SAD!!!

Satan attacketh the Christian’s mind, to have God’s people think on information that distracteth them from focusing on God’s Word to them (2 Corinthians 10:3-5; 2 Corinthians 11:3,4; 2 Thessalonians 2:2). The Holy Bible is the only means whereby God doth communicate with us. If Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God” nearly 2,000 years ago, we would be foolish to think that “many” are not still “corrupting the word of God” (modern “bibles” “corrupt” that verse too!).

I use only the King James Bible. I refuse Satan’s counterfeit “bibles” that seek to corrupt my mind. I am overjoyed when called a “Bibliolater” (Bible worshipper). I desire to please God, not man; I join God in “magnifying [his] word above all [his] name” (today’s Scripture). Wilt thou join us?
