If our physical posterity could augment its spiritual dexterity, exactly what would that entail?
The Eucharist (wafer and wine/juice) is one of the two pillars supporting Roman Catholicism; the other is the Papacy (pope’s office). After the “elements” are “blessed,” the wafer is called “the Son of God.” Parishioners bow before it, thinking Jesus Christ Himself is now physically with them (a religious tradition, not Scripture at all). The Mass is regarded as a literal sacrifice that takes away sins—yea, the same crosswork of Christ presented to God again (“renewed”), though Christ has been offered here in a so-called “unbloody manner.” (Contradicting Hebrews 9:22, “…and without shedding of blood is no remission [forgiveness]”). Reminiscent of the unbelieving Levitical priests of New Testament times still offering worthless sacrifices that Calvary’s sacrifice had replaced (Hebrews 10:1-22), so men assume they can work today in the energy of their flesh to equate their inventions with Christ’s sinless sacrifice. Such is the Devil’s cheap counterfeit!
If the Roman Catholic Church is correct about transubstantiation, and if they really do follow the Bible literally as argued, then why are dioceses/churches/priests permitted to give only the bread to the people (“communion under one kind”)? (The priest drinks all the wine himself.) According to Scripture, they all need to “eat and drink,” as eating alone in no way constitutes eating and drinking. Christ’s disciples both ate and drank (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25). Romanism even violates its own proof-text of John 6:53-56, which demands eating and drinking!
Transubstantiation is especially dangerous because hundreds of millions of superstitious people, including innumerable generations of my French-Canadian and Irish ancestors (!), entrust their eternal souls to the perversion! Indeed, as strange as it sounds, Roman Catholics believe they must confess sins and “eat Jesus” at Mass to earn Heaven. Like countless other works-religionists, they will wind up in Hell and the Lake of Fire (quoting Scripture here and there [Matthew chapter 26! Mark chapter 14! Luke chapter 22! John chapter 6! First Corinthians chapter 11!]. In God’s sight, human righteousness is but filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6) and dung (Philippians 3:8). Those who see no difference, or dismiss this as “trivial,” advertise how misinformed, uninformed, foolish, and naïve they really are….
